About Hopshelf

Hopshelf started with a simple problem: I wanted to keep track of my beer collection's freshness to make sure every beer was enjoyed at its best.

But once I had tracking working, I realized this could be so much more. Tracking is nice, but what if the app could suggest what to open tonight?

Then I thought even bigger. What if I could just talk to my beer fridge and ask it anything I want? It sounded like a fun experiment, so I went along with it to see what was possible.

The goal became clear: build an app that answers the craft beer enthusiast's most common question — "What should I open?"

Then I went a bit overboard with analytics — consumption trends, taste profile, freshness insights. The full picture for those who want it.

And that's how Hopshelf came to be.
